Leadership at LFC
Our church leadership structure is Elder-led, which means we follow the biblical model of leadership outlined in 1Timothy 3 and Titus 1. The Bible consistently refers to Elders in the plural, and in keeping with the pattern and teaching of the New Testament, we are led by a council of Elders.
The common calling of leadership that LFC Elders have adopted as a pattern to follow is that of shepherding the church (1Peter 5:2) and equipping them for service through praying (Acts 6:4, James 5:14), studying (2Timothy 2:15), teaching (1Timothy 3:2, Titus 1:9), leading (1Timothy 3:1, Acts 20:28, Hebrews 13:17), modeling (1Peter 5:3, 1Timothy 3:1-7, 1Timothy 4:16) and overseeing (Acts 20:28, 1Peter 5:2).
Our Pastors are all Elders, charged specifically with fulfilling the vision and mission of the church on a day to day basis.
